Starting January 12, the Medford High School Math Team is sponsoring a Penny Drive to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma soceity.
Math Team is calling all students, freshman through seniors, to donate their pennies to this competition to raise money. Each class has its own collection box in the submaster’s office. Freshman and Juniors should bring their pennies to the 3rd floor submaster’s office, and Sophomores and Seniors to the 2nd floor submaster’s office. Each penny donated into the class box earns the class a point. You can sabotage other classes by dropping bills or other change in their boxes. One nickel in your box will take away 5 points, one dime, 10 points, one quarter, 25 points, and a dollar bill takes away 100 points.
The class with the most points by February 3 will win the challenge and receive a special prize, so donate your spare change and dollars now. Have pride in your class and help win the challenge by winning the most points, and supporting a great cause. Donate now! Any questions? Talk to Ms. Escovitz in C120 or another math team member!
Also, you don’t have to be a nerd to join the math team, come one Tuesday at 2:30 to check it out, and come Wednesday, January 20 to support the next math team competition in C120!
